About Claire App App
The CLAIRE application helps you decipher the ingredients of cosmetic products.
CLAIRE includes information on more than 25,000 ingredients. For each one, you will be able to find its common name, its origin, its function…
CLAIRE offers two analysis modes:
Either scanning the list starting with “INGREDIENTS” appearing on the product
Or searching for an ingredient by entering its name
Deciphering ingredients
The application provides precise and reliable information on cosmetic ingredients, based on the most recent scientific data, including on so-called controversial ingredients. CLAIRE's aim is not to rate cosmetic products but to provide all the necessary information to enable a free and informed choice to be made.
Why is it different from other apps?
CLAIRE uses character recognition to identify ingredients listed on packaging. Most existing cosmetic applications use the product barcode to obtain the list of ingredients. However, this code is not reliable for identifying ingredients; it is only intended to provide the distributor with logistical and commercial information on the product (weight, price, size of the product, etc.).
