Anhe Branch, located in East District, Taipei City, was established on September 10, 1994 to introduce urban residents to Dharma Drum Mountain and get closer to Buddhism. On September 10, 1994, the Anhe Branch held a consecration ceremony for the Buddha statues. During the ceremony, Master Shengyan symbolically dotted the eyes with a cinnabar pen on the five Buddha statues enshrined in front of the main hall. The five Buddha statues include the Eastern Akho Buddha, the Southern Baosheng Buddha, and the Western Buddha. Amitabha Buddha, Buddha Amitabha in the north and the Great Sun Tathagata Buddha in the center open the home page for the work of dissemination. The Anhe branch is located in the center of the city. After organizing various courses on Buddhist teachings and Zen meditation, it is now a rare and pure ashram in the city.
