What is the Bible?
The Bible is the narrative of God's action in the world and his purpose for all creation. The writing of the Bible was done in more than sixteen centuries and the work is authored by more than forty people. This is a very amazing collection of 66 books with very different styles, all of which contain a message that God has deemed expedient for us.

This collection of booklets contains various and amazing literary styles. It tells many stories about the lives of good and bad people, about battles and journeys, about the life of Christ and about the early activities of the church. which is presented to us in the form of narration and conversation, proverb and story, song and allegory, history and prophecy.
The Gospel narratives were not written as soon as they happened. Rather, they have been quoted many times and passed from hand to hand over the years before being written down. However, the same themes are found throughout the book. Along with the diversity, there is a remarkable continuity throughout the book.

So what is the gospel? Well, in addition to the above, the Gospel:

a guide to a perfect life. It gives us a road map for life's perilous journey. Or in other words, the gospel is the anchor in our journey in the ocean of life.

It is a treasure trove of wonderful stories for children and adults. Do you remember the story of Noah and the Ark? How about Joseph's colorful coat? Daniel in the lion's den? Jonah and the fish? Moral stories of Moses? These stories emphasize the victories and failures of ordinary people.

Motherhood in times of trouble. People who have been in pain, trouble, prison and mourning talk about how they got strength by turning to the gospel in times of despair.

A treasure trove of insight into our identity. We are not senseless robots, but the glorious creatures of God who loves us and has a purpose and destiny for us.

It is a reference book for everyday life. In it we find standards of conduct, guides to distinguishing right from wrong, and principles that help us navigate a confused society where "anything goes."
