The great scholar of the Islamic East, Abu Hamid Ghazali (1058-1111), the work "Mukosafat-ul-Qulub" has been serving as a source of wisdom for mankind for several centuries, showing the paths of peace and happiness to individuals, societies and peoples who are suffering in the midst of suffering and unrest. . Defects that cause the decline of society are inhuman actions and feelings such as arrogance, hypocrisy, ambition, envy, cruelty, and injustice. If there are many such evil people in any society, that society will face a crisis. So, can such defects in human nature be corrected? The great scientist Ghazali, who showed the ways of treating such diseases, diagnosed these diseases. Because the place where these evils nest is the "human soul", "human heart", he named the work "Mukosafat-ul Qulub".
The Arabic word "Mukoshafa" has the meaning of "opening the invisible things", "discovery", which means that a person learns about a phenomenon that is incomprehensible to him through development. This word also has the meaning of understanding God's nature and attributes and other divine secrets. The title of the book can be called in a broad sense "discovery of inhuman actions and feelings that oppress the hearts".
If cruelty is replaced by grace, arrogance is replaced by decency, hypocrisy is replaced by sincerity, and injustice is replaced by justice, happiness will be found in such a society.
