“The Holy Quran” in Azerbaijani – 114 chapters (explanation)
Quran (The Holy Quran, Qurani Sharif) (Arabic: القُرآن al-Quran) is the holy and most important book of Islam. In Islam, the Quran is the words of God, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through his angel.
The Quran has 114 chapters and 6236 verses, which is its own name. The longest chapter of the Quran is Surah Al-Baqarah (286 verses), and the shortest is Surah Al-Kawthar (3 verses). The longest verse of the Quran is verse 282 of Surah Al-Baqarah.
The main feature that distinguishes the Quran from other heavenly books is that it was revealed in parts over a long period of time – 23 years. The Quran was not directly revealed by God, but through the angel Gabriel. According to some, the last 2 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah were revealed directly to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
The meaning of the word Quran is to read, to recite. The Quran is a heavenly book whose words and meanings are based on revelation, which was revealed to the last prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through Gabriel (pbuh), which is worshipped through its recitation, and which begins with Surah Fatiha and ends with Surah An-Nas, which has its own unique characteristics.
